The doula's role before, during, and after birth is unique. It is not a luxury.
It is a necessity.

THE NUMBERS:
According to the American Pregnancy Association, having a birth doula as part of the birth team decreases the overall cesarean rate by 50%, the length of labor by 25%, the use of pharmacological oxytocin (Pitocin) by 40%, and requests for an epidural by 60%.
Hello
My name is Ellen, and I am a birth and postpartum doula, which means I offer non-medical support to new and growing families before, during, and after pregnancy. I am also a Baby-Led Sleep Consultant, helping parents understand their babies' unique sleep needs.
I help families thrive during one of the most beautiful and challenging phases of life: parenthood. I believe everyone has the right to make their own decisions without judgment and to feel empowered through knowledge, including pregnancy, birth, and parenting choices.
I serve families in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and parts of Connecticut.
